For 30 years, the joy of Christmas has been transformed into music.
The Christmas Concert was born in 1993 at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, as a tool to promote Rome’s Vicariate project “50 churches for Rome 2000”.
Since then, it has gathered great internationally renowned artists every year for a unique celebration of the most loved and spiritual holiday in the world.
A traditional “not to be missed” TV appointment, broadcast in prime time on a national tv channel during Christmas festivities.
Every year, the Christmas Concert promotes a fundraising campaign that is carried out exclusively through a solidarity number associated with one or more charitable projects. The proceeds from the Concert (earned from tickets and sponsors, etc.) are not donated to charity.
The 30th special edition of the Christmas Concert for Peace 2022 was broadcast exclusively on January 1st, 2023 by Canale 5 on the occasion of the World Day of Peace.
Great international pop, rock, soul, gospel and opera stars perform live, accompanied by the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, to celebrate together the recurrence of Christmas, in a concert that presents the most classic and the most vivid reasons of the occasion.
The next edition of the Christmas Concert will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024, at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome.
